Masters of taming. Lyoo-Dee (Tchai-Low-Waique-Qee) Race Hystory.
System: Rha (C-VO39)
Asteroid: Arbath (Ocean covered with ice)
The origins of the Lyoo-Dee are in the small underwater military research outpost at the icy asteroid Arbath at the border of the Rha solar system.
The personnel were awaiting transport back the to Milky Way. Though the EVE wormhole had collapsed some 68 years ago, the star gate bridge to Canopus was still operational.
3 years ago it seemed like the gift to the humanity from the New Eden galaxy – the discovery of the Arbath asteroid, a strange rock that seemed to have the potential to yield many new technologies for the advancement of mankind. The expedition was expanded and new personnel, leaders in the fields of science and engineering, were rushed out to the colony together with the finest equipment money could buy.
While the new arrivals were busy assembling their equipment, the New Eden Tragedy occurred. An unexplained phenomenon destroyed the star gates, causing the formation of a magneto-gravitational anomaly. Not only did this make the gates useless but it also caused the collapse of the prospering New Eden civilisation.
Scientists have known for some time that their future existence relied solely on their self-sufficiency. The dire situation which they found themselves in forced them to call on their extensive knowledge of hi-tech equipment and classified technologies. They decided to cancel their orbital station construction in order to save the habitants at the bottom of the Arbath asteroid ocean.
The autonomous and dynamic nature of the colony provided the platform to producing sufficient goods and services to survive. The Rha star was situated at the periphery of the galaxy. Only a few small mining colonies were within accessible proximity. Its personnel and their equipment were transported to Arbath right after the New Eden Tragedy.
This was all before the Arbath had come to the glacial epoch. All of the surface ice had thickened and about 30,000 colonists were left in isolation. This was a time when the entire colony was dedicated to surviving the harsh life in the deep-sea.
The life of the colony was not halted but just cut off from the rest of the universe.

It is necessary to briefly describe the vegetable and animal lifes of Arbat.
The small oceanic world of Arbat had unique gigantic flora and fauna.
The Flora had been gifted with algae which extended across the ocean for hundreds of miles. Its main function was to support the colony infrastructure by supplying enough nutrients and substances to promote life. In addition to this it had the unrivalled quality of durability like all the underwater life of Arbath.
But the most amazing feature was the fauna of Arbat. It primarily consisted of various gigantic species of shellfish. Their shells consisted of bio-diamond (90%) and other rare substances. All the bottom surfaces of Arbath were covered by these gigantic shells that where very useful for the new technology of colony domes and later spaceship construction.
It was easy for scientists to adapt the colony to comfortably exist in such an alien world.

Thousand of earth years have passed since that time. Unwittingly the Lyoo-Dee changed dramatically. They developed some extremely effective mental abilities and advanced physical characteristics. For example, they discovered an ability to connect to their giant pets on a subconscious level which subsequently enabled them to genetically adapt the animals to satisfy the needs of the colony.
The isolated world of Lyo-Dee had the ability to exist forever in this environment without the need to colonise other worlds.
After 7 thousand years the ice age came to an end and the hot period began which forced the temperature of the oceans to rise dramatically and rapidly. During this time new teleporting abilities were discovered in the Arbath wildlife. The animals began an almost stasis like behaviour before suddenly disappearing within a few days although it’s still unknown if this is directly related to the nature of their life support systems.
Scientists used these bio-abilities and the well known symbiotic peculiarities of the Lyoo-Dee to create their space based domes and ships. These structures were jettisoned and positioned in space to promote independence and to avoid any casualties that were expected should the asteroid nature. The majority of the colonists where also relocated into space and accommodated in the dome structures shortly thereafter.
The Lyoo-Dee never previously had the need to move into space although they knew that the other colonies that where situated in New Eden during the tragedy where on the brink of extermination. Due to ice isolation no method of contact had been established during that time.
As previously mentioned, the Lyoo-Dee adapted their giant shellfish to a space environment keeping them in a stasis like form. These pets where trained to warp structures across the galaxy and who knows, possibly into other galaxies...
The first race that the Lyoo-Dee established contact with was the Jove Empire. We believe that the Jove where always an apolitical race, however, according to the Lyoo-Dee chronicles their contact prior to that point was far more aggressive. The Lyoo-Dee explored Jove space looking for survivors after the New Eden disaster and their meeting with the Jove confirmed their beliefs that they too possessed an advanced scientific community similar to their own.
For some time now the Joves have shown themselves ruthless in their pursuit of knowledge. The first wave of technology received by the Jove was used to create a military fleet which assisted in the capture of the Arbath asteroid. From there they began exporting the flora and fauna from the ocean of the asteroid. Prior to that act, the Lyoo-Dee never thought about using their advanced technology against other humanoids, peace and harmony was their only religion. The actions taken by the Jove forced the Lyoo-Dee to develop their Military force to strike back before Arbath was raised leaving the Lyoo-Dee detached from their homeworld.
After that point the Lyoo-Dee cut all communications with the Jove Empire.
We don’t know the full extent of the knowledge the Joves gained from the Lyoo-Dee but it appears the strange illness the Jovian Empire experienced during those times of conflict where directly related.
Since the shrouded days (which the Jovians refer to as their momentary social eclipse) they
have struggled to put the pieces together again. Their DNA-structure had in many ways been damaged beyond repair and the great disease that followed ensured the genocide of many Jovians up until the modern day, despite their best efforts and advanced technologies.

As we know, this disease makes the Jovians a very peaceful race and quite apolitical, but some question whether their contact with the Lyoo-Dee was the real reason behind their behaviour.
Some also claim that the sleepers and drone cyber-races where developed by Lyoo-Dee during their first attempts to rediscover the galaxy.

We do not know the full history of the Lyoo-Dee race, the majority of our knowledge is related to the capture of a sleeper probe which one of our vessels caught. Deciphered information allows us to speculate that this sleeper probe retrieved information from the database of an ancient wrecked Jovian mothership.
We are yet to decipher the extensive amount of information that was gathered although some parts of this shocking news can already be revealed.
